If you visited Waterloo train station up to the 16th November 2015, you'll be confronted by a sculpture of 6 giant poppies that we were commissioned to produce, by Facilities Management company Interserve, supporting their fundraising efforts this year.
It was an honour to be involved in something of this nature. The unveiling on London Poppy Day, 29th October was a fantastic moment of remembrance, so I thought we'd share a few pictures for everybody that couldn't make it.
The build up:
There was a lot of anticipation as a poppy red covered area was roped off, with a crowd building just after the morning rush hour.
Revealing the 6 x 3 meter poppies, with 1 meter diameter heads, to a huge round of applause, words from Interserve, Network Rail and the Royal British Legion.
The crowds were then treated to brass band, exhibit by the Army and a range of press shots and Interviews were captured.
and getting the collection team together for a photo...
The day was covered by most of the major media and we were delighted to see the poppies on BBC London that evening. There's a few days left but we hope the poppies raise a lot of money for this great cause.
